Outdoor Church: May 17, 2020 @ 11am

nvfadminNews

Many of us have been itching to see one another and worship together once again. We have now been given the clear to gather in socially-distanced outdoor worship services (details here). Therefore, we are planning to gather on Sunday, May 17 for an outdoor worship service in the parking area at New Vision at 11am. That’s right – we’re taking class outside!

Socially distancing children is a challenge, so we will not have a children’s church option and we are asking families to stay together for the worship service. Our Children’s Ministry – The Wheel – will have hand-outs for children in addition to our weekly video links for at-home Children’s Church.

For seating, we’ll have two options: you can either sit outside (your household at least 6ft from others – bring your own chair or blanket) or sit in your car. We’ll have a sound system set up (thanks Jerry!) as well as an FM transmitter broadcasting on 107.1.

Our security team and men’s group are dedicated to keeping things safe. We have cones outlining an area for outdoor seating in the front lot, and they will be wearing face coverings, handing out lyrics for songs, and guiding you to appropriate parking as you arrive. Our main bathrooms will be accessible from the side parking lot door, though we ask you to only use the hallway and bathrooms on that West wing to keep our sanitation footprint small. We won’t pass the plate, but we will have a locked box or two where you can drop off your offering if desired. And we plan to offer a scaled down live stream for those who still see wisdom in staying in.

If you have any questions, contact the church office at 336-427-6264. Feel free to invite your family and friends. We have a big yard and a big desire to see all people worshiping our Savior and Lord!
