  1. Blessings for Babies Shower & Supply Drive

    Baby shower items collected for the Rockingham Pregnancy Care Center with a shower at Grace Baptist Church on August 2 from 2-4pm, then a delivery on August 4th. There’s also an Amazon gift registry for items that are most needed for these babies.

    (NOTE: this project won’t be on the same day as our combined effort and closing celebration, but the team welcomes individuals who would also be serving on August 9).

  2. Children & Family Park Outreach

    Set up at Elliott Duncan park’s gazebo with yard games, tables, music, snacks, and opportunity for park visitors to create care packages for local school staff and students. This is designed to be a safer opportunity where parents can attend and serve with their small children.

  3. Community Prayer Walk & Invitation

    Prayer walk to interact with and pray for neighbors nearby, inviting them to a free hot dog lunch this group will host at Pioneer Church at Good News later in the day. Emphasis is on building relationships and learning of physical and spiritual needs that our churches might be able to pray for or help with and initiating gospel conversations.

  4. Firefighter Appreciation Meal

    Prepare and serve a meal for Northwest Fire Dept. Firefighters & families on July 29th.

    (NOTE: this project won’t be on the same day as our combined effort and closing celebration, but the team welcomes individuals who would also be serving on August 9).

  5. Nursing Home Social & Fellowship

    Play bingo, share refreshments, and possibly music at 3 different nursing homes. Assemble prize bags and staff goody bags before at Grace Baptist. Two dates - August 8th and 9th.

  6. Hands of God Help

    Clothing closet re-organization (4-6 hands), lifting involved, and food pantry organization and handout.

  7. Refreshing River Outreach

    Help hand out refreshments for individuals exiting a day at the river via the river access under Hwy 704 near downtown Madison. Aim is to engage and be a blessing to river riders and do some cleanup and trimming around the area with any downtime.

  8. Serve at LOT 2540

    This team will operate Mobile Market stations at Dillard Academy and Calvary Baptist church in Reidsville. The LOT is a ministry focused on serving the “Least Of These” per Matt. 25:40.

  9. Treats & Care Packages for First Responders

    Make and deliver treat/goody bags to local law enforcement officers and first responders.

  10. Yard Work

    Bring your gear and travel around to do yard work for neighbors in need as you trim hedges, mow lawns, and wash windows in our area.

  11. Youth-Operated Car Wash

    Free Car Wash for anyone in the community at Advanced Auto, designed for youth-age volunteers rising grades 6 through 12.

  12. Closing Celebration Wrap-up meal at Grace Baptist Church

    We’ll have a closing meal and celebration with testimonies on August 9th at 1:30pm at Grace Baptist. This group of volunteers will help with setup, tear-down, cleanup and food at the closing celebration.
