WE SERVE
OUR NEIGHBORS
One Saturday, with many ways to show our community the love of Christ — no experience required, just a willing pair of hands.
Serve day
Saturday
August 8, 2026
Projects run morning into early afternoon. Closing meal together at New Vision.
Part of ServeNC Week, August 1–8, 2026 — every church, every community.
Why we serve
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
If New Vision didn't exist, would Madison notice? That question sits behind everything we do on August 8. Our neighbors are hurting in ways that a Sunday service alone can't reach.
So we go to them — to the mobile market line, the nursing home activity room, the elementary school, the front porch that needs a ramp — and we bring the gospel with our hands as well as our words.
You don't need a skill set or a spare Saturday you won't miss. You need to show up. Every project on this page has room for you, and someone there to tell you what to do next.

We finish at the same table.
Every team comes back to New Vision at 1pm for a pizza lunch together as we share our experiences over a meal. Come hungry — and if you'd rather serve by setting up, cooking, and cleaning, that's a project too.
Closing Celebration Crew

Ordinary people from New Vision, out in Rockingham County, doing small things that matter to somebody.
GOOD TO KNOW
Who can serve?
Anyone. Several projects suit families with children, the bingo teams are ideal for our Vintage Visions folks, and the goody-bag team is students in grades 6–12. Check the badge on each card.
What should I bring?
Closed-toe shoes, water, and sunscreen for outdoor projects. The ramp and school teams can use your own tools — gloves, loppers, pressure washer, drill — if you have them.
What if I can't commit to a whole morning?
Come for part of it. Sign up anyway and tell your project leader — an hour of help is better than none, and the closing meal crew is a shorter window.
